Mbale city has again lost another business mogul called Umar Binyota after he was shot dead in Amudat with his fellow businessmen. This incident happened Sunday afternoon when all the four occupants of Motor vehicle number UBP 601Q Harrier were shot and killed instantly.
This happened in Ankukunyo village along Lemusui road in Amudat sub county, Amudat district. The deceased have been identified by police and are; Mbale business magnet Umar Binyota, Umaru Warime, Aramanzan Boy and Abaasi Mubajje.
Why did this happen to Umar Binyota?
Well, as investigations go on, our well-placed sources from Mbale intimate that, Umar has been the proprietor of Manunsi Meat Supply “Teeka Sente Wolaba” and he has been one of the biggest business men I Mbale city. But it is being said that, Umar has been doing shoddy deals that have allegedly led to his bloody death.
According to what we have so far gathered, Umar Binyota has been dealing with cattle raiders in within Karamoja region, but he has been so hesitant on paying these raiders who would get him the cows he would slaughter. To the extent that, he would pay them whenever he felt like, not according to the agreement he would have with these men.
This triggered them to wait for him in Amudat, stopped him, and opened the car and removed them one by one as they shot them. Only one person was shot from inside the car. Police has confirmed that, Umar Binyota and his fellows died of gunshot wounds.

It us further informed that, 13cartridges were also recovered from scene of crime and the bodies were taken to Moroto hospital for postmortem as the vehicle was towed to Amudat police station as investigations kicked off.
