Ministry of Internal Affairs with Uganda Police Force are carrying out a mass recruitment 2024 for the position of Probationer Police Constable. This position requires to be filled with 2,500 Ugandan citizens that are between the age of 18 to 23 years.
As Uganda Police Force seeks to recruit Ugandans on the Probationer Police Constable position, the minimum education required level is that one must have a UCE (Ugandan Certificate of Education) certificate or its equivalent. Additionally, one must have scored a credits in English and Mathematics.
The key roles of this position are; to enforce law and order, to protect life and property, to preserve law and order, to detect and prevent crime, and other duties assigned to you by the Inspector General of Police. And the minimum requirements for the applicants are as follows;
One must be a Ugandan citizen and must possess a valid National ID (NIN), must not have a criminal record, and should be ready to undertake a mandatory 12 months Police Basic Training. Moreso, all applicants must endure that they are physically and medically fit.
Additionally, among the requirements are; one should be ready to work for long hours and at times under difficult conditions and pressure. Applicants must be ready to work in any part of the country, and finally must be a former or current serving officer in any Forces.
This is how to Apply in the Uganda Police Force Recruitment 2024
One must submit in their handwritten application letter and address it to the Inspector General of Police. Moreso, this must be accompanied by certified copies of academic documents, a photocopy of the National ID, three recent passport size photos.
Furthermore, you must attach an ID or introductory letter from the previous school and recommendation letters from the LC1, LC3 and RDC from the respective districts of recruitment. This file folder should be delivered to the Police/District or Divisional Headquarters not later than 18th February 2024.
Important to note is that, you should not impersonate someone or forge any document as it can lead to arrest and prosecution in the courts of law. You are not supposed to give false information as it may lead to termination of your application.
Again, appointment to Uganda Police is after the mandatory 12 months basic training and lastly, females are more encouraged to apply.
