There is pain that cannot be measured in any way, and there is pain that goes beyond pain. And that is what the family and children of a woman known as Maama Afuswa are going through right now. She spent a whole 10 years on kyeyo (working abroad) in Arab countries, and she was killed immediately on her return.
This disturbing news emanates from Makindye, along Kulekaana Salaama road. Maama Afuswa had spent years without being home, and she found her only two girls she had left behind now grown women. The happiness of her return was immeasurable, and little did they know that it was her last moment of being happy with family.
In a twist of things, a day after her arrival in Uganda, before she shifted to a new better location, in the night of Sunday she met her fate. Her family says that, at around 2:30 a.m. thieves broke into the house she was in and took away with her money and left her cut into countless pieces.
Police in Salaama Kulekaana was notified pf the incident at it took action immediately. Unfortunately, the attackers/thieves have not been apprehended yet, but Police says investigations into the matter have started.

Maama Afuswa family has not given any detailed information about this attack, although some member revealed to us that, there was a simple misunderstanding between the victim and her relatives on the money she was sending them.
As investigations kick off, we shall wait for the report, but as of now, some family members are not contented that it was just a mere thieves attack, something fishy may be around this case.
