PLE RESULTS UPDATE: The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has internally informed its staff on the day the PLE (Primary Leaving Examinations) results 2023/2024 will be released.
And the examinations UNEB body has confirmed after securing an appointment to brief the First Lady, Janet Museveni, who also is the Minister of Education and Sports.
A senior insider revealed that PLE results for the year 2023/2024 will be released on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 11:00 am, at State House Nakasero by the Minister of Education and Sports, the First Lady Janet Museveni Kataaha.
More about this, we are reliably informed that, the Education officials who were invited to attend both the briefing on PLE results for the year 2023/2024 and the release of the results have been directed to take a COVID-19 test for the meeting on Tuesday, 23rd January 2024 at Mulago Platinum Centre from 9:00 am-3:00 pm.
Furthermore, the UNEB Spokesperson Jennifer Kalule earlier this week told reporters that the major examinations body had written to the Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni, requesting an appointment for a briefing before releasing the results.
It is a procedure that, UNEB has to brief the Minister of Education and Sports about the performance of learners before the results are released officially. After the results are released, the students’ selection exercise will then start.
It should however be known that, a total of 749,347 pupils sat for PLE in 2023, including 391,558 females and 357,789 males. And the PLE results are always the first to be released, followed by UCE and lastly UACE.
