NRM’s Amanya Moses Wins MUBS Guild Elections 2024 Beating NUP’s Chopre Steward

Amanya Moses wins the MUBS Guild president elctions and he is the new Guild president 2024

The long awaited day is here and finally, the winner has emerged at the end of it all. And as you read this, NRM’s Amanya Moses has beaten the rest of the contestants in the tight race that involved three candidates.

Final results that are awaiting official announcement indicate that, Amanya Moses got a total of 1685 votes from all faculties, and Steward Chopre collected 1268 votes overall. Then, Benedict Luswata got 837 votes and total of invalid votes was 15 and this makes it a total of 3805 total cast votes.

MUBS campus is currently full of mixed emotions and the guild presidential hopefuls which were the NUP side of Steward Chopre are let down. Team Amanya is seen everywhere on and off campus jubilating for this important win.

The voting process started at 8am and it was a smooth exercise through out the day. Although, a few individuals had started to complain that the NRM camp stuffed ticked ballot to some voting stations and there was a call to boycott the voting but it did not last for 30 minutes.

On the other hand, this MUBS Guild elections 2024 were floored on a levelled ground after the fiercest man was pushed out of the race by not nominating him, Juma Wasswa Balunywa on terms that seemed so personnel as others termed them as “political” but still, the remaining candidates maintained a great pace.
