The list of applicants shortlisted for several support positions necessary for the upcoming national population census jobs 2024 has been made public by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS).
Some of these jobs include store assistants, administrative assistants, enumerators and assistant IT officers. Apparently these job owners will play a vital part in the success of the forthcoming national census.
Following a thorough aptitude exam held on April 23, 2024, on Floor One of the UBOS Conference Hall, for the population census jobs, the organization’s management showed satisfaction with the quality of candidates who applied.
The shortlisted candidates received invitation letters from UBOS to a Written Competency interview in a statement released on Wednesday this week. The interview is scheduled to take place at the Statistics House Conference Hall, which is likewise on the first level.
This will be on Friday, April 26, 2024. Additionally, this recruitment process is a requirement of the National Population and House Census (NPHC) planning process. The exercise is set to begin in May 2024.
For the ten-day census scheduled to begin on May 10, 2024, UBOS launched a statewide online recruiting process last month. The goal is filling 114,460 enumerator posts and 18,483 supervisor responsibilities.
The shortlist’s distribution will give prospective applicants an important roadmap and understanding of the next phases in the selection process. The successful ones who will be placed on the shortlist are reminded to rigorously follow the program for the interviews.

It should be noted that, UBOS places a strong emphasis on timeliness, encouraging applicants to arrive at the specified location one hour prior to the scheduled interview time.
The UBOS Conference Hall will serve as the registration location for applicants. Furthermore, admissions will be limited to those who have been given formal invitations. Through taking this precaution, the recruitment procedure’s efficiency and integrity are maintained through a streamlined and organized approach.
