News about the cancelation of David Lutalo’s Babongote concert that was scheduled for 27th January 2024 hit the media early morning today. This was in a communique that was made by Da Hares Music Farm, a record label that manages David Lutalo.
This concert was supposed to be held at Serena Hotel, and reasons for it’s cancelation were made by Da Hares Music Farm. The record label cited that, due to the recently concluded NAM and G77+China summits, Serena Hotel was used as a place of accommodation.
The label continues to say that, the international summits’ delegates are still utilizing the hotel premises. So it may be hard for David Lutalo to stage a concert there when visitors are still inside.
The communication additionally informed that, after consolations with Serena Hotel management, both parties agreed that they stage the concert on November 8th 2024. And of course apologized for the inconveniences that were caused to David Lutalo fans and well wishers.
But then, there is a very close source that reveals that, the management of David Lutalo had some fears that the show would flop. It is the same source that revealed that, security is still tight in Kampala areas due to these delegates that are still in the country.

So they feared that, people may be reluctant to attend the show fearing to be interfered by the security operatives and not enjoy well their money. And now the question still remains, will Babongote still be relevant to be named the theme of the concert?
