Holy Alliance: All You Need to Know About this New Political Group

There has been a new political group others call it a political pressure that has been started in Uganda Holy Alliance. This has the same structures like those of People Power pressure group that Kyagulanyi Ssentamu started which bread NUP, but with a different approach.

This political group constitutes many political parties and it is being led by lawyer, political analyst Asuman Basalirwa who is the president of Justice Forum (JEEMA). The same political group has members like; political veteran John Ken Lukyamuzi president Conservative Party.

Additionally, Joseph Kabuleta president of National Economic Empowerment Dialogue (NEED) is also a member. Samuel Lubega Mukaaku of Truth and Justice party is also among the members and in the top organizing committee of this political group Holy Alliance.

It is being explained that, this is not here to foght with the existing political parties or pressure groups, but to bring in a different approach of harmonizing with other parties to ensure a peaceful transition of power from the ruling NRM led by president Museveni takes place.

We the leaders gathered here under the Holy Alliance, call for a fresh start, a new conversation and a constructive dialogue and that is why were are here. I am aware that people have called for dialogue, and the kind of dialogue we are calling for here is very different from that which has been talked about before” Asuman Basalirwa told journalists in Kampala.

Holy Alliance has not intention of causing was or contesting anybody, we are coming to fill a gap that we see in space for the good of Ugandans. This does not mean that the already existing groups be our enemies, never” Ken Lukyamuzi is quoted saying.

Ugandans that have already known about this, have come out to express their concern about how effective this will be. And some have been overhead dissing this saying that it won’t meet the expectations of Ugandans that People Power and other alliances in place.

We are yet to establish where the offices of this political group Holy Alliance will be located and who exactly will take the mantle of leading this apart from the provisional names on board.
