It is a very sad time for people of Kabura – Kanyansheko, Ibanda Municipality after the loss of their beloved relatives in a Buhweju accident when a car overturned and killed two instantly, three died later while others were severely injured as we are yet to establish the initials of the dead people as we only know a one Kakuru as of now
This started when a group of mourners was travelling from Ibanda Municipality to Nyakishenyi Bihanga, Buhweju side for a burial. And they got involved in a terrible accident this afternoon along Bihanga Karembe road in Nyakishenyi, Buhweju district.
These mourners were reportedly traveling in a lbanda United Parents school van registration number UBG 746T. On reaching on the sharp slopes of Nyakishenyi, Buhweju, the car overturned several times due to a suspected mechanical issue before killing two people on spot.
According to the eye witnesses, the car was over speeding and it failed on negotiating the steep slopes of the hilly area. Those who sustained injuries were rushed to Ibanda Hospital (Kagongo) for specialized medical attention. For those that died on spot have been taken for postmortem.

Accidents in Uganda are so rampant and the major causes of these accidents are over speeding, drink driving and others. And many accidents happen in urban areas especially Kampala than rural areas.
The number of the dead people later on increased to Seven and investigations about this accidents are still underway.
