Did the Link Bus Driver Really Die While Driving? Truth Here

Today, social media has been covered with news of the death of Link Bus Services driver Nelson Olungu. And the same news stated that he felt he was nearing death, then he pulled over and parked safely, then he collapsed and died.

Social media was flooded with messages crowning the driver a hero of all time, that he decided to save lives of more than 60 people and died peacefully. We however took it to our sleeves and moved to Link bus services to know what really transpired and we got the truth.

Upon getting to Link Bus services we managed to talk to the company spokesman Tom Best Alinde. He informed that, Nelson Olungu was driving bus registration number UBG 040H and did not die as the social media rumor is suggesting.

He only never felt well while driving heading to Kasese, as he reached in Kyegegwa, he parked well the bus and informed his management. Consequently, a relief driver was sent and Nelson Olungu went to the hospital to get medication and as you read this, he is doing fairly.

Our driver Nelson Olungu did not die enroute Kasese as social media is saying, he just felt unwell, and called for a relief driver. We responded swiftly and made sure he got the right medication he deserved” Tom Best Alinde stated.
