She was born on 27th March, 1988 in South Africa and her aka names are Babes Wempempe. She is born to Mrs. Vuyokazi and her step father is Mbuyisa Dalasile both of South Africa and her grandfather is Robert Makalima in South Africa too.

She officiates for FIFA, Premier Soccer League (PSL), South African Football Association (SAFA), and SASOL Women’s League and she is among the few African women referees that are famous.
She qualified for the FET provincial team and shortly became the assistant captain, but her career as a football player was short. She returned home after her Diploma and started playing for Ilitha FC.
Akhona Makalima Zennith blew her first whistle as a referee in August 2011 at Chris Hani memorial tournament in Eziphunzana in East London. Some of the other match that she has well officiated is that which was between Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs at Dukashe stadium.
