Social media is buzzing again with the ‘sudden death news’ of National Unity Platform (NUP) Kawempe North Member of Parliament, Muhammad Segirinya. And many social media ‘reporters’ are saying that Muhammad Ssegirinya is dead.

When we saw this, we decided to do check and ask our close sources that are near the legislator. And we got the truth about Muhammad Ssegirinya health updates. Well, we are yet to establish who really started this rumor and their intentions about Hon. Segirinya.

It should be remembered that, the Kawempe North Member of Parliament has been on and off a sick bed for quiet some time ever since he was imprisoned on the infamous Masaka Bijambiya that left many chopped and dead.

He was released on bail alongside his fellow NUP Member of Parliament, Allan Ssewanyana as they were convicted on the same allegations. Muhammad Ssegirinya first went to Netherlands and received treatment and came back to Uganda.

Until his lawyer Mr. Samuel Muyizzi told the International Crimes Division (ICD) of the High Court that the legislator pleaded to fly and get medication from his doctors in Netherlands, and he was allowed to fly, until now he is still admitted.

And the latest health updates about the Muhammad Ssegirinya death news is that, he is still alive. That is according to one of his family members that preferred anonymity. So, those spreading the fake news about the Member of Parliament are doing a bad thing.

And again, even if such a tragedy happens, you can not find anyone announcing his death, it is either the Speaker of Parliament to do so or the political party he represents in Kawempe North constituency.

We continue to pray for him, as we wish him a quick recovery.
