The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has announced the extension of the deadline for allowing applications from suitable Ugandans as earlier advertised. to do the Population Census jobs 2024. It should be noted that, UBOS had advertised for Enumeration Supervisor and Enumerator positions.
This advert for the Population Census jobs 2024 was made on 4th March 2024 through various media outlets, and the last date for receiving the applications was scheduled for 15th March 2024.
With the twist of events, the same Statistics body UBOS has announced an extension of receiving more applications for suitable candidates that wish to be Enumerators and Enumeration Supervisors countrywide.
The new date has been communicated as 22nd March, that means one week was added in the deadline date. However, there was no reason that was given as to why this extension has been done, but some sources suggest that UBOS never got enough of the more 120,000 Ugandans needed to do the jobs.

“This is therefore to inform the general public that an addendum has been made to extend the expiry date for receiving applications from 15th March 2024 to 22nd March 2024” part of the official statement from Uganda Bureau of Statistics read.
Additionally, it should be known that, this comes a day after NIRA also extended its deadline to receive applications for the various jobs it had posted. It extended from 14th March to 16th March, so Ugandans still have many chances of applying.
