It has been a very long two weeks for both camps of Azawi and Ray G since the Christmas stage exchange that made the two trend for weeks. Now, the beef is finally over after Azawi bowing down and apologizing to the Western Uganda music giant.
We have got proof from very close sources that, Swangz Avenue sat down and decided to swallow their pride pill and look for Ray G and apolohize. This meeting happened yesterday and the two took a photo together ‘smiling’ with Azawi carrying the widest smile.
This comes days after Azawi appeared on her social media throwing rants to Ray G. She said that, she demanded an apology from the ‘egoistic’ singer for having interrupted her performance set in Mbarara during Christmas.
Defiant Ray G kept silent and he never replied her with any word. In her long post, Azawi asserted that he was looking for relevance and chasing clout. But it seems after sitting down with her team, they realized they had to apologize instead.
Why did Azawi Apologize to Ray G?
Well, the thing is like this, after the Mbarara incident, Ray G was booked by Abitex to perform at Enkuuka in Mengo Palace, and the Western Uganda singer was pelted empty bottles at alongside his partner singer Truth 256.
This was seen as a symbol of disrespect, but still, Ray G kept quiet about it. He let his fans do the fighting for him, and his silence has been so loud in Central region and Swangz Avenue camp.
Now, the story is here, after the bottles incident, all Western Uganda people be it Ray G fans or not, vowed to punish all Central Uganda artistes in the right way when they step their. And they warned for them they don’t use bottles, but sticks (enkoni).
This hit the nerves of all Central Uganda artistes, and some of them like Grenade Official were seen to start performing songs of Ray G on stages in Kampala. This was an indicator that the pressure was getting to their nerves.
Western Uganda people asked for all Central artistes to apologize to Ray G, or else they should forget about performing in Western Uganda again and forever.
This is where Swangz Avenue came in to save the situation and officially apologize to Ray G in a bid to do damage control. That is why we have seen a photo of Ray G and Azawi being posted on Azawi’s social media account.
Surprisingly, Ray G did not post the same photo! he is still standing like nothing went wrong. This thing of only Azawi posting the photo of them two smiling is a clear indicator that this was only helping her not him.

Ray G fans have already started hailing him and thanking him for teaching the ‘Kampala’ artistes a lesson. And they hope he has now achieved what he has been fighting for, for a long time.
It should be known that, last year still Ray G stepped on stage with enkoni to fight for fellow singer Truth 256 during the Purple Party tour in Western Uganda.
This happened after Truth 256 was called on stage to perform, and his first song was played for 20 seconds and they stopped and announced another artiste, who was from the Central.
