Ona a very critical note, parents that took their children to study from Precious Primary School – Katooke in Nansana are currently crying foul. This is after the PLE results of their children did not come back, and the Director of the school Nabakoza Agnes has kept them hopeful but with no solution.
It is being learnt that, Precious Primary school – Katooke located on Wamala road in Nansana was among those schools that were suspected by UNEB to have done examination malpractice, and the results of 50 candidates were withheld out of the total 86 that sat for the examinations.
It is then alleged that, when parents of the candidates that missed getting their results contacted the school administration especially the director Nabakoza Agnes, she assured them that they would get the results. Day went by and nothing was availed to the parents until they became bitter and went to the school.
That is when the director reportedly told them that UNEB was still demanding her some balance, so she was to clear and have the rest of the results released. This took longer than they expected, until she came up with another excuse that UNEB wanted to meet the candidates and do some cross examination on them.
The school administration arranged and candidates were made to sleep at the school premises a night before they faced the UNEB committee. It is further said that they were briefed whole night on what to say in case they are asked about certain things.
And most candidates confirmed to us that, mostly they were being told to deny in case they ask them whether they were involved in any malpractices. This was also confirmed by the school staff when we contacted the school, he said that, they were briefed just not to fear, they should stick to the issue of not being involved in anything.
After they left UNEB, we are informed that the headmaster was given a ‘paper’ that had the final decision, but the parents were not informed about this. That is when the DEO Wakiso was involved with the help of the Inspector of schools, some parents were called in this meeting and they were told to be patient.
Not until we contacted the school administration for a word and it was revealed that, the PLE results were withheld for malpractice. When we asked as to why the parents are not yet informed, our Zivuga cops were told that the parents are aware, yet they are still in the darkness.
When the director Nabakoza Agnes was contacted, she was not in the right spirits to answer anything as she instead with the help of some unidentified man that was in her company on phone started to threaten to harm our journalist if they came and found him at the school premises.

Until our journalist was advised to go to some media house and pick the story from there something that sparked a feeling, something is not right about this whole saga. This is the same way these parents have been kept in the dark as some of them mention being threatened by the director because she feels so much ‘protected’. Injustice, impunity, have covered this whole situation.
As you read this, some of the parents are still stranded with their children at home, hoping to get good news from the school administration. Yet there is nothing, the director is reportedly still playing pin pong games. This frustration has driven them to ask for help from whoever can help them.
We are bringing you every testimony from all parents that are frustrated by this, as some gave up and took their children to other schools to re-sit their PLE.
