The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) is embarking on the recruitment 2024 of over 10,000 workers to help register over 18 million Ugandans and giving them NINs in the mass enrolment and renewal exercise.
This NIRA recruitment 2024 is slated to take place on February 27th 2024 and the application process is to take place from NIRA website. More so, this recruitment exercise is not only targeting Registration Assistants, but also other positions are included like Sub cunty Supervisors.
NIRA’s Executive Director, Kisembo Rosemary disclosed that this recruitment exercise is aimed at increasing manpower for the impending NIN issuance campaign, and other positions. This will leave each parish in Uganda have someone to get the opportunity to work with NIRA.
This is in NIRA’s commitment to ensuring equitable representation across Uganda’s parishes where at least one individual from each parish where the exercise will take place.
What are the requirements?
To qualify to apply to these positions, one must be a Ugandan and must possess a valid National Identity Card. More so, people aged from 18 years and above are encouraged to apply. The other requirements are attached in the job description at the NIRA website.

It is being also informed that all successful candidates will earn around 500,000 shillings per month for over 10 months, the period this exercise is expected to take place. These remarks were made by Kisembo Rosemary during the joint weekly security briefing at Police headquarters at Naguru in Kampala today.
