Uganda supplementary budget 2023

Wonders continue to surface in our beloved country Uganda as mews coming in indicate that, Members of Parliament are being bribed to just pass a supplementary budget 2023. This news was broken by the National Unity Platform (NUP) president as he was addressing a meeting at NUP offices today.

We moved a head to confirm whether this allegation is true, and came to find that it is in a process. While speaking to one of our close sources at Parliament of Uganda, we got a confirmation that it is true, some Members of Parliament have already bagged the cash.

This supplementary budget is set to be around 3.5 trillion shillings and it will see 55 billion to go into MPs as a token to make them allow the supplementary budget to pass through parliament. This budget will see the State House allocated more 418 billion shillings to finish the financial year 2023-2024. So in total, it will be a 4.05 trillion shillings.

Last year, a supplementary budget of 77 billion shillings was passed by parliament and each Member of Parliament was bribed by 40 million shillings. We saw many denying for not have received the bounty, but some of them agreed that they actually saw the ka money and ate it.

This is the same budget that Uganda musicians will get their 30 billion shillings pocket change.
