Talking about the best performing schools in UCE 2023, we have also managed to compile for you the best performing districts UCE 2023/2024. These are the ones with the highest number of candidates with 8 in 8 aggregates.
Wakiso district as usual is among the best performing districts in UCE 2023/2024. It has got schools like Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo which has more than 20 candidates with 8 in 8 aggregates. Kings College Buddo is also a school in Wakiso district with one of the highest numbers of 8 in 8 aggregates.
More so, Wakiso is one of the best performing districts with St. Mary’s Kitende with over 10 candidates with 8 in 8 aggregates. Nalya SS Namugongo, Trinity College Nabbingo among other schools are the ones that have put Wakiso district among the best performing districts YCE 2023/2024.
Mukono district is also among the top performing districts in UCE 2023/2025 and Mt. St. Mary’s Namagunga has over 5 candidates with 8 in 8 aggregates. Seeta SS also is among the schools that have made Mukono district shine in UCE results 2023.

Kampala district the usual suspect appears on the list of best performing districts 2023/2024 in UCE examinations. Mengo SS, Kawempe Muslim, Bishop Ciprian Kihangire SS, Kibuli SS among other schools are the ones that have made Kampala district appear in the best performing districts in Uganda UCE 2023 with aggregates of 8 in 8.
Others include; Masaka, Mbarara, Hoima, Luweero, Iganga, Soroti, Ibanda among others that performed so well in UCE 2023/2024 and the past years.
UNEB informed that, a total of 349,459 candidates sat for UCE examinations 2023 and this is the last cohort of candidates to do the old curriculum.
