Hon. Cecilia Ogwal Atim was the District Woman Representative, Dokolo, and she died days ago in an Indian hospital where she was battling cancer. The president accorded him a state funeral and here is the full burial program.
For those asking the question of when will the burial of Hon. Cecilia Ogwal Atim take place? here is the answer. The president after granting her a state funeral, it has been confirmed that she will be laid to rest on Monday, January 27, 2024.
This will take place at her ancestral home in Dog Gudu cell, Alito Town Council, Kole district. And her full funeral/burial program stands as follows;
Sunday 21st January 2024 the body will arrive at Entebbe aboard Fly Emirates at 14:10hrs and it will be received by the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament Anita Among and the family of Hon. Cecilia Ogwal Atim. The body will depart for Mulago and thereafter to A Plus funeral home.
On Monday, 22nd 2024, the body will depart A Plus funeral home at 08:00hrs and will be received at Parliament at 09:00hrs for viewing and a special sitting at 12:00hrs to pay the tribute. The body will thereafter be taken to Bugolobi at her home for the vigil.
Then, on Tuesday 23rd January 2024, The body will depart her residence in Bugolobi to All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero for a funeral service at 09:00hrs and after that, it will be taken to Dokolo via Soroti for a vigil at Adok sub country, Dokolo district.
Body will depart Adok for a joint council sitting at Dokolo district headquarters on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at 09:00hrs-14:00hrs. That is when it will proceed to Lira City for a vigil.
The body will depart Lira City residence for a church service at St. Augustine Cathedral. Bar Ogole at 09:00hrs on Thursday 25th. And thereafter it will leave for St. Paul church, Alito Archdeaconry, Kole District for a service at 15:00hrs.
The body will later that day leave for her home in Dog Gudu cell, Alito Town Council, Kole district for the vigil. And a church service at her home will take place at 10:00hrs and viewing of the body on Friday 26th 2024.
