Gen. Muhoozi deletes tweets to sanction US Ambassador

Ugandan controversial army General CDF general Muhoozi Kainerugaba who is also the son of President Museveni, has deleted a series of controversial tweets threatening the U.S. Ambassador to Uganda, William Popp, just a day after issuing them.

In the now-deleted posts, Muhoozi accused Ambassador Popp of disrespecting his father and undermining the Ugandan Constitution. He had given the ambassador an ultimatum to apologize to president Museveni by 9 a.m. on Monday or face expulsion from the pearl of Africa-Uganda.

The posts, which caused a stir on social media and drew widespread attention, have since been removed by him without explanation. Sources say Muhoozi may be feeling the pressure and possible embarrassment following his unprovoked threats toward the U.S. ambassador.

It should be noted that Gen Muhoozi has always been like that on social media putting up posts that don’t make so much sense and very controversial. Before threatening the US ambassador to Uganda, he has also posted about American singer Fiddy facing charges of sexual assault saying that he needs to be tried in Africa.

There are times where Gen Muhoozi’s X account gets blocked but later unblocked because of the posts he makes. And it is a Wednesday, and no action has been done to the Ambassador and Muhoozi later turned to a toothless barking dog as the saying goes.
