Musician Edrisa Kenzo Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, has landed into things after he was named a Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives by President Museveni. This appointment was announced last night.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment Eddy Kenzo, proud of you as always,” Nyamutoro broke the news on X on Wednesday night. Kenzo is the spouse of Phionah Nyamutoro, the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development and representative of the Youth in Parliament.
State Minister for Youth Balaam Barugahara also congratulated the Bolingo singer. He wrote that “Big congratulations to the one and only Eddy Kenzo official on your appointment as Senior Presidential Advisor on Creativity! This is a well-deserved recognition of your talent, hard work, and dedication to the arts. Your creativity and passion have inspired countless individuals. And we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make in this new role. Keep shining and pushing boundaries!”
The singer is the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation and his label, Big Talent. Kenzo becomes the 140th advisor to the President. He joins fellow singers Mark Bugembe alias Buchaman, Catherine Kusasira and Jenifer Nakangubi aka Full Figure who are all presidential advisors.

His appointment is expected to be of vital importance to the entertainment industry which has been fighting so hard to have the 2006 Copyright law revised, enacted and implemented.
The creative sector in Uganda encompasses a wide range of fields, including media, software, advertising, fashion, crafts, entertainment, design, architecture, and literature.
