Bishop Stuart University located in Mbarara is currently mourning the death of one of their lecturers, Florah Kyayemagye who died while giving birth. According to sources, this was a sudden death.
It’s said that she collapsed on Friday last week and was rushed to Neocare Clinic. The lecturer was pregnant and was due to give birth to her second child. However, on reaching the Neocare Clinic, her baby was found to be dead already.
She was then taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for specialized treatment. However, she was later on pronounced dead. Florah Kyayemagye has been a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Arts and Media Studies at the University.
Known for her lively personality and commitment to teaching, Florah Kyayemagye abrupt death has left her family, coworkers, and pupils in a state of deep sorrow. The university has been rocked by the news of her passing. In addition to being a committed teacher, and she was a friend and mentor to numerous staff members and students.
Those who had the honor of knowing her were profoundly impacted by her dedication to her profession and her love of teaching. She was especially well-liked for her capacity to engage pupils and motivate them to realize their greatest potential.

“Florah was an integral part of our community, a brilliant mind, and a caring soul. Her passing is not just a loss to her family, but to the entire BSU community. We will miss her dearly, and our thoughts are with her family during this incredibly difficult time,” Prof. John Francis Mugisha the University’s Vice-Chancellor said.
