The Uganda Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed the release of UACE results 2023 to be today 7th March. And the results as usual are released by the Minister of Education and Sports First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni. Let us delve in the best performing schools in UACE 2023 countrywide as more than 100,000 candidates sat for the examinations.
According to the previous results especially UACE 2022, it was appeared that, female candidates performed better than their male counterparts and the same happened in the other year. And for UACE 2023, it is a different story as we are going to see below.
Still again, a total of 229 candidates from 106 schools UNEB centers scored maximum A-level points, 20 points from the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results according to the Board. In this year’s UACE, fewer candidates managed to score maximum points.
Here are the top and best performing schools in UACE results 2023 and we shall look at those that have candidates that scored mostly 20 points as Wakiso district takes the lead again.
St. Mary’s SS Kitende (Wakiso), Ntare High School (Mbarara), King’s College Buddo (Wakiso), Bishop Cipriano Kihangire (Kampala), St. Mary’s College Kisubi (Wakiso), Gayaza High School (Wakiso), Seeta High School (Mukono), Citizen SS (Ibanda), Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga (Mukono).

Additionally, among the top and best performing schools in UACE 2023 are; Lubiri SS (Kampala, Gayaza HS (Wakiso), Mandela SS (Hoima), St. Mary’s College Lugazi (Buikwe), Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo (Wakiso), St. Julian High School Annex Gayaza among others in the Best Performing Schools UACE 2024.
It should be remembered that, the release of UACE results 2023 delayed a bit and by the time these results were released, pressure had mounted on UNEB and Ministry of Education with netizens storming social media to demand for there release.
