Yesterday, news surfaced that dancehall singer Beenie Gunter was arrested in Abu Dhabi, and various assumptions for his arrest were made. And sadly, it later turned out that, all that was said was not correct, the real reasons for his arrest have been revealed by his friend who stays in Abu Dhabi.
It has been revealed that, Baguma Crescent aka Beenie Gunter went to Abud Dhabi two weeks ago for a performance at V Club on 6th January alongside his girlfriend Nickie Berry. The show went on well, only that, that night of the show, he was punched and his nose oozed blood.
The reason was that, there was a scuffle that ensued between his show promoters, as they were heating up, he tired to come through and cool the situation. That is how he ended up getting a stray blow. And that is not the reason he was arrested, we are erasing the false rumor that he caused havoc in Abu Dhabi.
Yesterday after his arrest, one of his friends notified this website that, Beenie Gunter left Abu Dhabi very well and he had done nothing there. Because the show was done weeks ago, and he was just on a short vacation withe girlfriend.
When he reached Dubai, where he was to catch his flight from, he as arrested by Dubai Police while checking in. And by bad chance, his girlfriend was on a different counter and she had already checked, so she couldn’t cancel her flight.
The Guntalk boss then communicated to this source that told us that, he was being put in the police car and it was moving him around Dubai without telling him anything, but just moving him around town.
Unfortunately, he later on got offline and up to now, his whereabouts are a mystery. It it worth to be noted that, his flight was for midday, and he was captured at 10am. And by the time he communicated to his friend at 2pm, he had already missed his flight and with police.

The bottom line of it all, no one knows why Beenie Gunter was arrested in Dubai, and no one knows whether he has already been transferred back to Abu Dhabi, or he is in Dubai cells.
But Ugandans have already started raising their voices through social media, and they are calling upon the UNMF president Eddy Kenzo and the Ugandan embassy in Dubai to do a thing about it.
