Teacher arrested for leaking Primary Leaving Examination papers

Two teachers are facing serious consequences after being accused of leaking exam papers. Can you believe it? Well, this is real as news coming to our desk indicate that, two teachers in Uganda were caught red-handed with the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination copies.

They allegedly had copies of the English, Maths, Science, and Social Studies papers. Talk about a serious breach of trust! Apparently, they were sharing these materials through a WhatsApp group across the entire country.

The police were tipped off by a professor from a local university, and arrests were made instantly. Upon their arrest, one of the teachers admitted his involvement, saying he was pressured by his superiors. The other claims he’s innocent but confessed to knowing about the leaked materials, this also made him a suspect.

The police are urging everyone to be careful about who they interact with, especially online, during examination season. They say that parents are often desperate for their kids to do well, and scammers take advantage of that. It’s safe to stay vigilant and only trust reliable sources of information for any information about exams.

This is not a new fenominal of cheating exams and ditributing exam materials, but in most cases this has been fought as hard as it the authorities could. And this case is a huge deal, and it shows just how important exam security is.
