ADF Commander Allegedly Killed in Kibale National Park

News getting to our desk indicates that, one of the ADF commanders that attacked and killed people in Kamwenge district has been killed. This happened in Kibale national park on Wednesday evening.

This news was confirmed by the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) through the Deputy Spokesperson Deo Akiiki. He asserted that, the commander of ADF called Musa Kamusi was found with a PK gun, two explosive devices and ammunition.

One of ADF commanders who attacked Kamwenge twice was put out of action this morning in Kibale National Park. Recovered from him is a PK gun, two explosive devices and ammunition” Deo Akiiki said.

It should be noted that, the ADF group attacked Kamwenge in a two split attack. The recent being on 25th December where a family of three was killed in Nyabitusi village 1, Kamwenge and an old woman and her two grandchildren were killed.

Before that, there was another attack in Kitehurizi village, Kyabandara parish, Kamwenge district where 10 people were killed.

More so, there was a reported attack of the same group on Rev Gorge Bwajojo’s farm where 50 heads of cattle were taken, to be released in the morning.

President Museveni recently directed for the activation of the LDUs in the area of Kamwenge to help combat the threat of this rebel group.

Security is doing whatever it can to make sure the ADF is put out of action and Kamwenge people and the neighboring communities are safe again.
