We have been reliably informed about the sad incident that happened at Makerere Business School (MUBS) yesterday, This involved police brutally beating up a student known as Abdallah Mukama, to near death.
This happened when students were protesting the illegal detention of Guild president 2024 hopeful, Juma Wasswa Balunywa (JWB). More to this is that, yesterday Friday was the nomination day for Guild president candidates and JWB wasn’t nominated and the protests started and later turned violent.
Juma Wasswa Balunywa was briefly detained at Jinja Road Police Station and later released as the situation at MUBS campus slowed down. This left property vandalized that includes the Principle’s car and many students were beaten up while tear gas was also used.
Now, in a video that is making rounds on the internet, the current Guild President of MUBS, Christopher Wasswa has warned the school administration about what is coming on Monday if the medical bills of Mukama are not met. He further alleges that, Abdallah Mukama got internal bleeding which put him in a dire state.
In the same video, Christopher Wasswa alleges that the police officer who beat Mukama is called Musinguzi and should be brought to book as a must by Monday. And promised that if no action is put against him, there will be action that is worse that what police and the MUBS administration can imagine.
“Students want the administration to pay bills of Abdallah Mukama, I am their voice and i have spoken, if you do not respond to this cry today, then you will be the ones to blame. Afande Musinguzi beat our student” he started his warning and later added that students are pouring at campus on Monday.

“…and they have promised that come Monday, the students are going to show who a real Makereranian is. We are not threatening, on Monday they are coming” Christopher Wasswa said in a video.
